Mulfi-Factor Authentication
To further strengthen the security of your TMS and protect your data, we’ve introduced Multi-Factor authentication (MFA) functionality in Go and GoPlus TMS.
As cyber threats continue to evolve, MFA adds an extra layer of protection by requiring a second form of verification, in addition to a password. This feature is part of our ongoing commitment to keeping your information safe.
You can choose to enable MFA. Whilst it is optional at the moment, we strongly advise you to consider rolling MFA out to your users as soon as possible.
Please read the following notes before enabling the feature.
MFA Options
You can decide when and how to roll out MFA by choosing one of the following options in Go TMS 'My Business':
-
Not required – No extra verification required (default setting)
-
Prompt users to setup – Reminds users to use MFA, after 3 days or 10 logins
-
Mandatory – Requires users to use MFA every time they log in
Please note: Only Go Administrators can manage MFA options. Once enabled, all your TMS users will be prompted to use MFA depending on the options you choose.
Enabling MFA - Suggested Next Steps
Before enabling MFA please consider taking these next steps:
-
Inform your users before changing the MFA options in Go TMS.
-
Share the following 'MFA User Video' with users, It shows how they can access their Go TMS, once MFA is enabled.
-
Select the 'Prompt for MFA' option whilst onboarding users. This will give you time to communicate the change with users and ensure they can continue accessing their software, without disruption, until they have MFA set up.
How to Log into Go TMS using MFA
Once MFA is enabled, users can log into their Go TMS as follows:📲 Authenticator app – Microsoft or Google Authenticator apps can be used to generate a secure login code every time users log into Go TMS.
📧 Email – Users can opt to receive a one-time verification code by email, using their Go TMS login email address.
